Cat O’ Nine Lives

Saw a car in front of me pass right over a kitten. Thankfully by some miracle it didn’t get hurt. And it immediately scampered to the side of the road. Lucky kitten. Must have been quite a scare though.

UPDATE: My brother has a stranger experience, he saw kittens dropping off from under a van in front of him every hundred meters or so. Each kitten, after hitting the pavement, safely scampered off to the side of the road. They must have nestled in the spare tire well or something.

I Get Knocked Down… Again

It’s definitely the daing na bangus. Less than a month after getting downed by either food poisoning or allergy reaction, I get downed again. This time after again eating daing na bangus for lunch. The same symptoms appeared: my pulse started racing, then the throbbing headache, then the fever, and finally red splotches showed up all over my torso, legs, arms, and face. Again I had to make an emergency exit from work to recover at home. But looking at the bright side, at least I’m now sure what causes it. No more of that crap from now on.

UPDATE: It looks like food poisoning since one of the officemates I had lunch with had exactly the same symptoms. I looked up the symptoms my officemate and I suffered from and I got this: scombroid fish poisoning.

Catharsis

Talked to a friend about a major issue that has been bearing down on me. It has always been a thorn on my side but recently, it’s becoming too much of a burden. I am at a crossroad. I needed another perspective just to be sure that I’ll be taking the best path.

So we talked, or rather I mostly talked, ranted, and whined. As a bonus, I was made to see some of my own shortcomings in the scheme of things and some suggestions on maybe making things better.

I don’t pour out often and it felt like a great weight came off my shoulder. Even if it is probably only temporary and I still can’t see which path, it was still pure relief.

And no, I wasn’t drunk.

Hangover

Got wasted last night. So wasted I puked (haven’t in years). So wasted I got a hangover this morning. I think it was the chicken. Yes, definitely it was the chicken.

I Get Knocked Down (But I Get Up Again)

Don’t know if it was the daing na bangus I ate for lunch or the shrimps I ate yesterday or if it was food poisoning or an allergy. Whatever it was, it really downed me. Less than an hour after lunch, my pulse started racing, then the throbbing headache, then the fever, and finally red splotches showed up all over my torso, legs, arms, and face. I had to make an emergency exit from work, went home, drank antihistamine, and slept. After a few hours I awake to find my pulse normal, no fever, and no red splotches. The headache is still there but much less painful. I really should be careful with the food I eat.
