Yesterday, I cleaned the range oven and hood. After a few weeks of use, they invariably get coated with a layer of oil and grease or, in some areas (especially the grille of the range hood), sticky gunk. Previously, I have been using dishwashing soap and it would always take a lot of time and effort to get good results. But this time around, I used Simple Green which I happen to have around for bathroom cleaning. Back when Jeanne was born, I decided to get only organic and environment friendly bathroom cleaning products just to be safe. I didn’t realize it’s also an awesome kitchen cleaner. It made short work of the oil, grease, and gunk! In just a short time and with minimal effort I had a gleaming range oven and hood!
Jeanne Is Eating On Her Own!
Slide to Unlock
Jeanne likes playing with my iPhone. She likes to start some favorite apps including Angry Birds, where she shoots the birds backwards with the right hand and forward with the left hand (when you tell her to). She also browses the photos (backward) and videos (she even plays them). Last night, I was watching her play when, for the first time, I saw her successfully use the unlock slider and access the home screen. Maybe it’s time we get her an iPod touch.
From The Rack And Back
I’ve been asking Jeanne to get my slippers from the shoe rack a week or two now. She would go to the shoe rack and look for my slippers. At first she would pick up only one and give it to me, then later she began picking up both. This morning, I asked her to take my slippers to the shoe rack which she did. Babies sure learns fast!
Truth Vs Faith
Here’s a good one from Uncle Vic as relayed to me by Michelle:
When a woman says “That’s my baby.” That’s truth.
When a man says “That’s my baby.” That’s faith.
