Bonding

Last night, Michelle was off with her officemates to tour their onshore manager who is in the country for a visit. Jeanne and I were with each other from about 8:30PM onwards as Lola and cousin Steph, who were with her the whole day, had to go sleep. We played till she eventually got tired/bored. She wanted milk so I prepared a bottle. But it’s not the kind she wanted and she cried and cried. After some time crying, I tried giving her the milk again and this time she took it and drank it till she finally slept only shortly interrupted when Michelle arrived.

What Are You Eating?

I was lying in bed, watching an episode of How I Met Your Mother on the iPhone, when Jeanne walk to the edge of the bed chewing something. I asked her “What are you eating? Come on, show daddy.” She looked at me, walked back to Michelle at the living room, and came back with a peanut which she gave to me.

Bedtime Antics

Jeanne is a late sleeper. Maybe it’s because of her afternoon nap. Often, we hand her the iPhone and she would browse through the photos and videos. Last night, she was doing just that, going forward and backward and playing the videos. As it was already a bit late, when she temporarily let go, I hid the the iPhone under the pillow. When she realized that it was missing, she peeked under the pillow, found it, retrieved it, and unlocked it. When Michelle said, “You’re so smart!”, she immediately pointed at her head and repeated “Smart!” She then proceeded to launch the Photos app and browse through the photos and videos again. After a while, she got tired and lay down. And then she held up the iPhone and continued browsing while lying down. She never ceases to amaze!

Bonding

Last night, Michelle was off to an office barkada gimmick so Jeanne and I were with each other from about 8:30PM onwards as Lola and cousin Steph, who were with her the whole day, had to go sleep. We played till she eventually got tired/bored. She wanted to eat so I gave her some steamed fish fillet, which she ate up with gusto, and orange juice. I tried putting her to sleep but she didn’t want to and got cranky. She was looking for “Step” and I had to explain that Steph was sleeping already. She pulled me to the living room where we watched a Baby Einstein video. We sat there on the sofa watching side-by-side until we both dozed off. I woke up just long enough to transfer her to the bed then slept again, tired but happy.
