Jeanne is a late sleeper. Maybe it’s because of her afternoon nap. Often, we hand her the iPhone and she would browse through the photos and videos. Last night, she was doing just that, going forward and backward and playing the videos. As it was already a bit late, when she temporarily let go, I hid the the iPhone under the pillow. When she realized that it was missing, she peeked under the pillow, found it, retrieved it, and unlocked it. When Michelle said, “You’re so smart!”, she immediately pointed at her head and repeated “Smart!” She then proceeded to launch the Photos app and browse through the photos and videos again. After a while, she got tired and lay down. And then she held up the iPhone and continued browsing while lying down. She never ceases to amaze!
I hate it when good food goes to waste. So I prefer to prepare just the right amount (or even less) for meals. And if it can’t be helped, then have the leftover food for the next meal. When I notice some food in the refrigerator that’s been there for more than a day, I usually get it, heat it, and eat it. This goes whether it’s tinola, nilaga, sinigang, pinakbet, roast beef, pasta, or pizza. Leftovers anyone? Guess not. It’s been in the refrigerator for a while already after all. But if nobody else wanted it, then I’ll have it, thank you.
Michelle had an appointment with the dermatologist this afternoon so instead of walking around the mall, Jeanne and I went to James’ place. It’s looking more and more an inhabited space but there still are some things to be done. One of these is the mounting of a medicine cabinet. It was relatively easy after our previous experience installing a shower caddy. We positioned the medicine cabinet, marked the mounting holes and went drilling. It was almost perfect except for a misaligned mounting hole. Still, it didn’t look too shabby mounted.
I was finally able to get all the Mech Zero equipment. I got the overly-expensive X-SC2 Sword last but with it’s Drain hits, it was a relative breeze dispatching Ealoseum, Zero Mech, and the ancestor. I hope they release another content pack soon because there’s really no point going through New Game++.
A fire drill was announce a few days ago. I’ve done fire drills at least twice before. And the experience of going down 40 floors in a hot and crowded stairwell, your knees shaking and buckling from the exertion is something you just can’t forget. Something you would want to avoid.
So today, I made sure I had good chance of avoiding it. I usually go home early on Fridays, to take over babysitting Jeanne from my mother-in-law, but today I went the the office even earlier and went out earlier too. I was actually thinking of staying a few minutes more but luckily I didn’t.
As I drove out of the building, I noticed the security guards cordoning off the exit area. I texted Flor but it was a few minutes too late, the fire drill had begun. I had gotten out just in the nick of time! Now that’s stuff for movies! I motion pictured myself speeding away, building burning and crumbling down on my rear view mirror, into the sunset.
